Forgiveness & Redemption

-Too many mistakes, head hanging down;
no more smiles, laughs, and cheers, I have nothing but a frown.
-Nothing can change the past, its nothing but dread;
questions unanswered, I'm left scratching my head.
-No one expects me to turn my life around;
'cause right now i fell off the track of being success-bound.
-I don't expect another shot, all I can do is ask;
but I was brought up not to be negative, time for a new task.
-Believe it or not, I'm trying to change my path of life;
leaving behind the past full of hatred & strife.
-I've done it once, I'll do it again, I've proved them wrong before;
I'll start at the top & work my way down, even if I have to knock on heaven's door.
-If you push me down, I'll just get back up;
then I'll wine & dine, drinking out of a cup.
-Ya'll know I don't talk about it, I just do it;
after I'm done with this rhyme, I'm going to write another hit.
-Sooner or later I'll be doing my own thing;
kinda like a bachlor having one last fling.
-But now my time is done, not looking for a prize;
'cause its not how you fall, its how you rise.
