Jake walked around in his now ragged and tattered suit on what seemed like an endless path. It wasn't leading him anywhere in particular. He thought none of it in anyway. Walking straight and never turning back was starting to get old though. That is if time existed here. If it did, where was his watch when he needed it?

Sitting by the ocean on a sandy beach had never felt so breathtaking. Jake watched as the sky glowed with many different colors. The ocean was reflecting it all. A spectacle only his eyes could see. Despite wandering around quite a bit, he hadn't been awestruck in a while. He would stay there for longer but unfortunately it was already 37:52 o'clock. Being the stickler for time he was, the young man stood up and left. He was off. He did regret leaving the skies though.

His suit, impeccable. His back, straight as it could ever be. His hands, not clammy at all for this one time. He felt ready. He thought about what a great time he had ahead of him. Adding memories to his little collection felt good. It wasn't a feeling that you could associate much words to. Lost in his train of thought, Jake was heading the wrong way. When he would realize this depended on how much time he spent being distraught.

Oh dear. Where did he wander off to now? Getting tangled up in his thoughts sent him in the completely wrong direction. He looked around and could see nothing. Nothing familiar anyway. His new surroundings threw him off. He was no longer walking towards a new memory. Jake ended up on a long path. He looked behind him and saw it stretching out far as his eyes could see. Maybe even past that. He stood dead still for a minute before sprinting down the path. As far as he got, it remained the same. It just kept extending. Jake was getting anxious, scared even. He wasn't even able to run straight anymore. Exhaustion was kicking in. He fell repeatedly. Finally he stopped. He wanted to check the time but his watch was missing. It must've flown off his wrist during his run. At this point he was late. Too late. He stopped and thought for a good long time. Finally, he reached a conclusion. Forward.

Jake saw something not too far away. Something that stuck out on the path he had been treading for quite some time. A watch? Yes, a watch. He put it on. It fit nicely. He was about to take a peak but stopped. He took a look on the horizon. The path was still extending. He looked back at the watch. No. Not yet. It could wait.
