Grandson, God Has Blessed This World With You

"Grandson, God has blessed this world with you"
Said the card I recieved that birthday.
And though it was simply a card from a store,
I smiled in the happiest way.

I imagined my grandfather picking it out,
Grandma writing their love down within.
I keep that card out where I always can see
Those words from my dear, sainted kin.

Now to you who are blessed to have grandparents dear,
Remember to love them always.
Take in and learn from the words that they speak,
They've learned much from their long, weary days.
