We are on fire. I am burning, along with my friends. We might be upside down, but the fire acts the same. Even when I'm well away, the smoke covers the landscape like a thick layer of fog. It is hot. Very hot. They try to help, but they do very little. Why care for such an 'unimportant' country anyway? Why save the people that don't do much back?
Because we are people, just like you. That's why you donated, too. Because we are all human, and we all have feelings, even if they are towards people we don't know, that are suffering in another place.
Even when we aren't in the area of the said danger, we still know it is there by the smoke. It goes on for a very long while. It won't stop.
I am not telling you to give me your money. I'm asking if you could spare a bit of change for my burning home.
Author Notes: Please don't take this as a joke, my other work might be a bit laughable, but I would like to spread awareness for the bush fires.
