The wolves are howling tonight. I could feel the wind whip my hair onto my bleeding face. As I ran I could feel their breath on the back of my neck-Snapping and tearing at the back of my heels-they were getting closer and closer. I suddenly made a quick detour-bad choice; I straightened up and stopped in my tracks, dead end. I turned around slowly to face my fate.
A tear rolled down the side of my face. I closed my eyes and waited, I could feel them coming closer. The dead leaves crunching beneath their paws, my chest tightened, I couldn’t breathe. Panic ran through me, I didn’t want to die. I was scared to die, but too scared to move and run towards them. I stood there, waiting but something felt wrong, why is it so quiet? I thought. I decided to open my eyes; I looked and was shocked to what I saw.
