Abusive

Little Kathren has always been so strong.
That's why everyone was shocked to hear she just let go.
She has always fought with abuse from her mother.
But why did she choose to die at age 10?
She could've lived with her grandparents, or her aunt and uncle.
But no, she decided she couldn't take it anymore and she just stopped breathing.
Her mother is still at home, and her mother doesn't care that Kathren is dead.
Now Kathren has flown up to a place where she's not hurt anymore.
A place where her new mother will be kind and won't hurt her.
Kathren was my sister.
Kathren was my buddy.
Kathren told me to never bug mommy and let her hurt Kathren.
That always made me cry.
I wondered why mommy loved me and not Kathren.
Now that Kathren is gone I stay away from mommy.
Mommy strangled Kathren and then drove her to the hospital to pretend she loved Kathren.
She told me to keep my mouth shut.
I did, because I didn't want to die.
