… a tentative footstep…
hesitant - almost fearful…
… heart stopping moment as realisation dawns
… and the full reality is revealed…
my guilt… all my guilt…
regretted and fully felt…
… so will the earth open and swallow me…
such is the shame I feel…
bad, bad ,bad…
so where do I go?
… what is my punishment?
where, where… do I go from here?
