soothing, moderator of pain…

escape… fleeing the trials of the day…
… a time to ponder… time to die…
leveller, adjudicator… judge and jury…
… call…

and in that darkness… truth and revelation…
self -revelation honest and true…
only fools conceal, scoundrels lie…
… and jesters know it all…
