As the Ink Bleeds

By Oxygen

The ink bleeds

Onto my paper

And the memories

Come rushing back

The tears and ink

Blur into one.

As I write,

My hand scribbling furiously,

The sun sets behind me

It’s dark sister appearing over the horizon

the music drifting me

Into a world where I forget

All of the pain that eats me up inside.

I drift in deeper,

The music pounding loudly in my ears,

My blood flowing hard though my veins

And the black envelops around me

Keeping me locked in.

And as the opening of a door

And the meow of a cat,

I open my eyes,

The music fading away

And the darkness too.
