Blue Faced

By Kat

She walked back home

her mind in tatters

and tried to feel calm

when all else shattered

The day had gone

when she could laugh and play

it had vanished

just flew away

Ever alone, hiding every trace

wishing she could get rid

of her ever blue face

And when the wind came

in the force of the weather

there was no where to aim

Not even to tether

So she blew away

a sad sight to see

and tried to find

a new place to be

Her family all gathered

to watch her blue face

the old and the haggard

gave a tear? - not a trace

As she watched

with clasped hands and head low

an idea hatched

coming out slow

They hadn't truely cared

for if they had felt

their faces would sag

and their eyes would melt.
