A Broken Heart
By TheForgotten
“Mandy can we talk?” I turn to look at him.
“I guess.” I respond, wanting nothing more than to walk away.
“Listen I’m sorry, really I am.” He rubs the back of his neck, acting as though he feels some sort of sympathy for me and all of my uncontrolled emotions.
“For what?” I ask, knowing what he means but wanting him to say it.
“For breaking up with you.”
“Why would you be sorry for that?”
“Because I broke your heart.” He slides his hand around my arm in some attempt to comfort me. It does the opposite.
“Don’t flatter yourself.” I hiss at him, pulling away from his grip on my wrist “You didn’t break my heart. The world did.”
Author Notes: One of my shorter entries maybe I'll add on later.
