Broken Lovers

The night was so dark,
That he could not see.
So he took out his torch,
And walked to the sea
The waves lapped the shore,
A rock skips across.
A blanket on sand,
There, hand held in hand.
Stars shining so bright,
Never left that night.
Feelings of despair,
Never were too fair.
Until the sun rose,
There on the still shore,
No one could restore,
The bond that was before.
Author Notes: I wanted this to be Iambic Pentameter, but I kinda broke it on the last line. :'(
