Caged
By Oxygen
I am a bird.
I look out,
but only to see a bright and golden,
cage restraining me.
My freedom, my power, my joy.
Restrained from being free.
I spread my l wings,
my beautiful wings,
representing my freedom,
my power,
my joy.
But I am held back.
By a chain.
I sit and watch.
I see my fellow bird friends.
They are flying free, happy and are in power of their own life.
I am sad.
I start to whistle.
I commence a song.
Singing louder and louder,
till the cage starts to shake.
I grow stronger,
glowing and bright I spread my wings,
and I break free from that chain,
the every so mean,
the every so restraining.
I burst out of the cage,
glowing, strong, bright,
beautiful and powerful.
Nothing can stop me,
I am freedom.
