Cynicism=Self Preservation

So you want to know what the real world is like? To live among the most evil and traitorous people the Earth has ever known. I may be cynical but I call it self preservation. You know why? Because the world is cruel, people will tell you they care about you, and in all reality they could care less. The few people who do care are so non-existent that it's not worth taking a chance. People, we destroy ourselves with pollution and poison, funny thing is we don't even care "I'll be long gone by the time...." such and such, do we not care about future generations? Our children's, grand children's, children will be alive when disaster strikes, does that not matter anymore? Are we so self consumed that we no longer care about anyone but ourselves? If anyone else is sick and tired of this nonsense why does it continue?
