Dance

His nerves had a way of getting the better of him, which made meeting someone something of a trial. This time, though, he was determined to go through with it. After all, he had nothing to lose except his pride.

Neat hair, straight back and broad-shouldered and completely unaware of his presence. He tapped lightly on one shoulder. A handsome face turned to face him. He almost lost his nerve, but steeled himself.

“Excuse me,” he stammered, “but would you interested in a dance with me?” he asked the smiling guy.

“Certainly!” the man exclaimed. “I thought you’d never ask”
