Dancing in the Summer's Breeze

By Oxygen

They twirled, spinning till the world became a blur,

With the cool summer wind kissing their cheeks and her dress as delicate as a petal,

They danced to the music, drifting through the sleepless night.

They spun around and around as day bled into night,

And when the sun’s sweet sister rose into the sky.

And as the stars sprinkled the cloudless canvas,

They forgot all their troubles, whisked away by the summer’s breeze.

But as their legs grew tired and the frogs croaked,

dawn appearing over the horizon,

they never stopped their never-ending dance.

It was a story,

a girl and a man, fallen and lost

they travelled the lands, tapping their feet across the dance floor,

until they found themselves in each others arms.

They drunk and snag till they couldn't breathe no more.

Till the sun rose and it's sister hid, waiting for the next night.
