Darkness

People say the dark is scary
The dark isn't scary
They are scared of the unknown
The unknown hiding in the dark
The dark is comforting
As it closes in on you
The dark is kind
Hiding all your secrets
The dark is also secretive
You don't know what to expect
The dark is mysterious
Holding all the possibilities
The dark can surround you
It can be a blanket of comfort
Or it can suffocate you
Wandering through the dark
Wandering through the night
Hiding in the dark
Hiding in the night
But the dark isn't scary
It is secretive and mysterious
But is is kind and comforting
Darkness can be friend or foe
You make it one or the other
So make a new friend tonight
Don't make an enemy
