Dear John

By Fiona Snow

Dear John,

I’ve been a fool listening to your lies. You have been an unpleasant memory. A reminder that I should be more cautious of the people I invest my time in. You are a reminder for me to see people for who they really are and not for who I wanted them to be. When I finally walked away it wasn’t to show you anything. I was showing myself I was worth more than you give me credit for.

You don’t get to miss me when you could have had me. Don’t come back to me if you can’t love me completely.
