Disguised-Part Five

(Indigo Cortez's pov.)
I feel strong protective hands wrap around me,"it is okay." A voice whispers gently in my ear and rubs my back comfortingly. I jump back and land in a heap on the floor. I groan, struggle in the dark, and eventually get to my feet. "Are you okay?" Aster asks in a concerned tone, he reaches his hand out, and I pull away. Completly confused to what I am doing here cuddled in the dark with this boy, instead of at my house.
He gets up,"what is wrong?" I feel panic slowly rising in my chest, my hands sweating, and my lungs becoming sticky so I cannot breath. "W-what time i-i-s i-it?" I choke out as my head begins to spin and my knees give out. "It is late. One a.m," he says getting to his feet and pulling me to him. Sitting me down in his lap, running his hands through my hair, and calming me down by talking me out of my attack.
"What is wrong?' He questions soothingly and concerned. "H-he is g-going to k-k-kill m-me." I reply, trying to catch my breath and calm myself. "I will go with you, I will stay with you." He says gently kissing my forehead. I nod, not sure if I heard him correctly.
We quietly sneak out of the house, to his car. He gently buckles me up, takes my hand, and drives to my house. All the lights are on and a loud ruckus is happening inside. He walks over, opens the door, and holds my hand as we walk over to the house. My dad swings the door open, he swings hitting me in the jaw, and Aster steps in front of me. "Move," He says in an overly protective tone, my dad laughs and steps aside.
We walk in, the house is in a total disarray, my sister no where to be seen. She isn't in her room, so I know she stayed at a friends. My jaw begins to throb, a bruise already beging to form. "Get some things and you can spend the night at my house." I nod and do as he says.
We go back out to his car and I fall asleep on the way there.
