Do You Care?

By Black Sheep

"DO YOU CARE?"

I shout, slamming the door because I know what you will say. I crouch on my bathroom floor, my head in my hands, and my eyes burning with unshed tears.

"Do you care?" I whisper feeling broken and lost.

"No," I say for myself as I drag rusted knife across my wrist. Savoring the pain, that lets my forget all your horrid lies.

I tell myself I hate you but I do not, I care about you, but you do not care about me.

"DO YOU CARE?" I shout before plunging the knife into my belly.

Darkness filters in through the red haze, then soft light, and my head feels dizzy.

I fall; down, down, and down.

Goodbye, it is not like you will care....
