Its radiant body

And starry eyes

It flashes through the wild

Flies through the air

Plays in the forest

And carries a maiden

On its back

O the dragon, the dragon

With its dazzling body

Its magnificent wings

And shimmering scales

It streaks through the sky

Flies faster than a plane

And loops the loop

With a rider on its back

O the mermaid, the mermaid

With its wonderful tail

Its radiant, long hair

And enchanting eyes

It swims with whales

Swims with dolphins

And sings songs of beauty

In oceans deep

O the gnome, the gnome

With its fine, white beard

Its fancy red hat

And cheerful voice

It works in the garden

Dances on the lawn

Sings merrily to flowers

And sits on a toadstool

By a babbling brook
