Enemy

I've only got one enemy

She stands tall with a smile on her face

Hiding behind a mask

She built herself.

I have an enemy

Living in my house

Breathing the same air as me

And feeling the same damn emotions as me.

Sometimes I can't see her

She likes to hide in the shadows

Waiting to pounce on me

Like predator and prey

I've only got one enemy

And no matter how much I scream

And run

She never goes away.
