Escape

         Today is a happy day
         I'm so excited
         It is wonderful
         To feel delighted

         I jump and shout
         Then I race downstairs
         I brush my teeth
         And then my hair

         I grab my suitcase 
         and head out the door
         I walk to the car
         But then it starts to pour

         I grumble and then I rush inside
         I throw my suitcase on the floor
         And then
         I cry

         The tears run down my face
         I thought today would be the day
         That I could escape this place
         And go far, far away
