Forbidden Love
Wanting to lead one's own life but cannot
Self pressuring to find personal path
In a subversive act Love is then brought
While hoping to prevent enemy's wrath
Two people with two sides in one affair
Push away their families' deep disputes
Secret troublesome Love they are aware
Neglect the grudges of their household roots
A dark secret is held in those most close
Grave consequences threaten to break free
One trying to be better proudly rose
Daring to ruin the family tree
Feeling Complete while listening to heart
The whole world may threaten to break apart
Author Notes: I wrote this after reading Son of The Mob, by Gordon Korman. I'd recommend that book to people who enjoy Shakespeare's story, Romeo and Juliet, as both plots are very closely related. The type of poem this is is called iambic pentameter. Shakespeare wrote a lot with this pattern, and if I did it right, when read, it should sound like a heartbeat. I hope you enjoyed reading it! :)
