Gone
I don’t know what was going-on in her head, but she upped and left in a huff and I have not heard from her since. That was almost two weeks ago.
Sure, we argued, but don’t all parents argue with their teenage daughters? Yes, of course it was about a boy, but that’s not important now. I just want my baby back. The not knowing is what hurts the most. I just need to know she’s safe.
Three a.m.: my mobile rings. I’m immediately wide awake.
I answer and hear her say “Mummy, I’m sorry. Can I come home now?”
