Tail
He chases his tail
For the pure pleasure of it
My silly old dog

Weekend
Five days of hard graft
Earn me two days of respite
I love the weekend!

Quit
I stubbed out my last
More than five years ago now.
I’m an ex-smoker.

Rich
A glass of red wine
Accompanies my dinner.
It’s rich, like my host.

Lie
Lie to me again.
You and truth never got on
So why try it now?
