Happiness is a lovely word
Wholesome and multi-faceted.
So many things does it convey
To be happy
Is to have strength of mind
Balance
To face the world with all its trials and tribulations
To seize each opportunitty
To embark on adventures
To see the beauty
In each living thing
to live in harmony
And appreciation of life.
Happiness is a lovely word
Positive and very perplexing
Is it a sin not to be happy?
Is it a weakness in character not to succeed
In the face of this
Word
The epitome of optimism.
Happiness is a lovely word
It's a word to which I aspire,
Sleepless nights,
The pressures of life
Yet somewhere deep inside,
I believe in happiness,
Whether easy to achieve or not
Or just a passing emotion lessening the hardships of life.
