He Said No
By abovelove
The second school dance of the year. I was with a friend and an alum that was friends with my older brother. I decided that I was going to ask someone to dance because I had done it once before it was amazing! I knew right away the boy I was going to ask but before I did it, I was having second thougths; "Maybe I shouldn't do this", "Why is my friend pushing me into this" and others. I eventually did. My friend went to get him and his friend came along teasing him. I simply asked him if he wanted to dance with me. He said "no, sorry" and left. No explantation, no sincere apology. I felt terrible. I cried, a lot. I never had an explanation.
Author Notes: Sorry for making this so short. This is a true story but the boy and I are now great friends. I was 12 at the time of this story. Even though I was turned down, I don't regret this. I think everyone should ask someone. Hope you enjoyed!
