Heartfelt

I was a goddamn fool, I know that now. I reacted badly. I was so taken aback by what she told me I said the wrong thing.

Twenty years – twenty years! – we have known one another and she goes and does that to me. What the hell was she thinking?

What do I do now: how do we go on from here after what she said? It’s all different now. Everything has changed and it’s all her damn fault!

All I ever wanted and needed was her friendship. This morning, right out of the blue she offered me her heart…
