HURTS

By Anthony E

It's not that I want to forget about you,

It just hurts too much to remember.

The morning, the afternoon,

The dusk and the evening sky

All remind me of you

And your first passing by

The sun drenched summers

The winter by our frozen lake

Autumn leaves, the copper spring

Snapshots in time, memories to take

My jersey used as pajamas

Bo Jackson never looked so good

Your smile in me, made me happier

Than anyone, than anyone could

The spark, the warmth, the fire

Held onto, until the last dying ember

It's not that I want to forget about you

It just hurts too much to remember....
