I Do Not Want to Die.

By Mitzi Danielson-Kaslik

I do not want to die.

I had always thought

That I would never die

And I would live forever

Until I was finally ready

To go.

But now I realise that

Perhaps I do not want

To Live forever as by

The time I’m older,

My life shall not be

What it was once:

I shall no longer be

Pretty and clever and

Full of imagination

But only memories

Painful and sad

But happy and

Full of love.

Yes, I do not want to die

Until I am not longer pretty.
