I Don't Really Know

I write all these stories and poems,

Like I know what I'm talking about,

I know it as much as I know trout,

I don't fish,

But I can say.

I've watched people everyday,

Seen them cry,

Seen them lie,

Seen them be shy,

And told them goodbye,

Because people

At the root are simple,

We as people are not inheretly bad,

Nor are we inheretly good,

We're not always sad,

Or always happy,

It's your experiences that make you,

And with each day I think you're new,

I can't really say,

Because I don't really know,

But I think that for all we are,

We've put on a good show,
