I Found You

By sky_wolf19

I found you under the deepest of oceans

Under the layers of history

Trapped beneath the surface

I looked for you

Behind every masterpiece ever displayed

I heard your voice echo

In the caverns

Hand carved by the oceans you weeped

Though I did not understand the lyrics, I read them

Until they replaced the lullabies that once sang me to sleep

I engraved your name into my brain

Until you were the answer to every problem I solved

Until you became the definition of science

You were just a grain of sand

But you me you are

The desert

A deep hollow body of space

A sparkle of stars

Eyes as wide as planets

Radiant aurora

Both sun and moon worship you

They take turns, admiring your beauty

I think long and hard

About how someone could be so perfect

Yet so unaware of it.
