I love thee more than the sun rise,

I love thee more than the twilight,

I love thee more than the rolling sea,

I love thee more than the moonlight

I love thee more than the flowers,

Far more than the blushing rose,

I love thee more than the sunlight,

Far more than the rays of heaven

On Earth

I hope one day to love thee better;

More as thee deserves, yet I wonder

If I ever will and fear that in yonder

Days when I will have grown up,

I will still not be worthy of you

I suppose I want to say;

I love thee true.
