I Stepped In It

I Stepped In IT

I walked by some horses yesterday

And I really stepped in it

It wasn't chewy--it was sort of gooey

It was kind of round and a shade of brown

It stuck on my shoe, but it wasn't glue

I was glad- that it did not smell too bad

You should have seen my face as the IT splashed on my shoelace

I had the blues cuz these were new shoes

You are probably wondering about my blundering

About what was the IT that I stepped in a bit

Well it was not a total loss

The shoes do not need to be tossed

After all the IT was just Apple Sauce
