I Want to Run Away

By Mitzi Danielson-Kaslik

I want to run away

To a city of lights,

Where love is around

Every corner and light

Dwells in every treetop

And hope lives in every

Heart and creativity

Is the soul of the city,

I want to run away,

To a city of artists,

Misfits, writers,

Painters, sketchers,

Lovers, linguists

And poets.

For I could fit in

In a place full

Of people who don’t

Fit in.
