I Was Just There
By Wistaria
I saw him from afar,
He was sitting in middle of the crowd,
His presence lightens up the room,
I tried my best to look away,
But looking away wasn’t my best.
I’ve spent my time,
Mesmerised,
Until he stood and leave the room,
Now only the empty seat remains.
The next time that I saw him,
Must’ve been a month or more,
Still as charming as ever,
Standing in the middle of the crowd,
Holding someone else’s hand,
Their smile lightens up the room,
I’ve spent my time,
Staring.
Until I turn around and leave the room,
Now only their entangled souls remain.
