If at Last You Do Succeed

By Anthony E

Championships and winning gold

It almost always gets old

Then is right now and right now is then

If at last you do succeed, never try again

Some stay too long and lose too much

Legacies tarnished, scrapes into rust

Jordan in Washington, Montana in Kansas City

Legends stray at may, oh what a pity

Go out a winner, you can have it your way

Like Bill Russell, Mickey Mantle, and John Elway

Represent one team, one town, immortalized then

If at last you do succeed, never try again
