IN the RIVER

One beautiful Summer’s Day, three young girls, called Sarah, Amy and Rachel, went down through the meadows with their parents to a river.
The water wasn’t deep in that area and there was no strong current.
So Sarah, Amy and Rachel removed their dresses and sandals and went into the river wearing their swimming trunks.
The water was lovely and fresh. It had a meditative, therapeutic effect too.
After a nice long play in the river, the girls were told to come out. So they reluctantly scrambled onto the bank, to dry off in the Sun.
Author Notes: I named the girls in this story after three of my cousins. They too played in a river when they were young. I joined them once myself.
