Inner Demons

INNER DEMONS
All my loved ones went away,
And in their place, demons came to stay;
If only they would let me sleep,
Maybe then I wouldn’t fall so deep;
I need my angels but they’re just too far to reach.
Round and round, I watch them go,
They tell me they’re my friends, but I know they’re my foes.
Like snowdrops, I watch my angels dance,
I call for help with every passing chance;
Why don’t they ever stop speaking to me?
I need someone to help, I need someone to see.
But they can’t because it’s all in my head.
