Inside My Head

By Mitzi Danielson-Kaslik

The world is quiet

When I am alone,

It isn’t quite silent;

Inside my head

There’s a buzzing

Like bees to flowers,

It a locomotive

About to leave

The station,

The sound never goes,

It just goes quiet,

When I’m not alone:

It’s never quite silent

Inside my head.
