IOTA

By Matt Decker

Hurried crowds

in a fray

Those dreary clouds

of gray --

Shining rays

that

light the day

Winding paths

that

lead the way --

Blooming blossoms

of May

Looming gloom

of doomsday --

A terrific

or

terrible day

That for which

you've prayed

Divine denials

and delays

Something

Someday

Someway --

Yeas and nays

that people say

The same games

that people play --

Fortress raised

Fortune made

Cache of swag

Sway and cachet --

The graceful glaze

of potter's clay

Skyscraping monuments

shaped --

How tall and big is

all this anyway?

Iota.

(Remember I told ya.)

It's Only Temporary Anyway.
