It Wasn't What you Thought

You’d probably never seen him. That boy, the one with the dirty blonde hair, hazel eyes, and the silver hoop lip piercing. You’d never notice the grey beanie, oversized t-shirt, black jersey shorts and biker boots. God, did you even glance at the 42 bandages? He stares at you all the time, his gaze intense, yet his eyes hold a hidden sadness. He didn’t mean to knock over you books on the third day of school; he even said ‘sorry.’ He didn’t purposely fall over to look up your skirt; it was your boyfriend that pushed him. Did you even notice me? I have been here all along. Not stalking, chasing, or following; just being there, at the same time as you.
