It's Important

I think what's important at the end of the day,

Is not if you get hurt or not,

It's about being able to say

That you tried your best,

Put in all of your heart,

Because you did more than the rest,

I think it's important to hold with you,

That you did everything you could do,

Because at the end of it all,

Some things aren't meant to be

No matter how long you stall,

It's important because if you gave it everything,

You can't hate yourself with questioning

If there was something more you could do,

Because like the saying goes,

It's better to have loved and lost

Than never love at all,

And believe me I've loved and lost,

But to be honest,

If you put in your all,

it's worth the cost
