She radiated pure joy unto me,
even though, when we were alone,
she was just as depressed as me.
I found it nice to know someone
like Jane, since she was just like me…
When she was happy, I was happy…
When she was sad, I was sad…
Her smile was pure white, glowing
like a lighthouse lamp, guiding me
to her.
She smiled a lot, even when she didn’t
want to, and I understood that.
She was my violent smile…
She was my reason to keep going…
And now?
Now I have a shirt that smells like her,
when I can’t stand that smell.
Now I have a twitch in my right hand
I can’t control since that was the hand
I touched her with…
I can’t…
I can’t stop thinking about her smile…
Her damn perfect smile...
