Laughter

Laughter is the best medicine,

someone once said.

It makes you feel

light, light like a feather,

floating through the sky.

It makes you happy,

glad to be alive on this earth.

It relieves your stress,

the ones that haunt your everyday existence.

But laughter the best medicine,

someone once said,

can also be harmful.

Be laughed at

mocked and made fun of,

can make you feel,

sad, enveloped in darkness.

It can make you

not want to be alive,

on this very earth.

Be careful,

use this medicine cautiously,

because you might end up hurting someone.

Author Notes: I love laughing. Everybody loves laughing. But nobody likes being laughed at. Laughter is a medicine to be used cautiously.
