Life

I loved life,

I relished life,

I thought life would never distress me,

I thought life would always be on my side,

Always with me.

Later I found out, how wrong I was,

I wish someone had told me,

The dark side of life,

I only saw the bright side.

One day I was blissful, loved and full of joy,

The next I was alas, alone, stranded and filled with pain.

Negative thoughts crowded my mind,

Gloomy times filled my heart

But I must go on I thought,

But what will keep me going

I thought

I thought

Nothing

Nothing

And so I write, to all those who loved,

All who knew and to all who wanted,

I’m giving up.

I loved life.
