Light vs Dark

Light will swoop in.

The confusion will vanish and,

The clarity will come,

I will have to work for it.

I've been told there's always light at the end of the tunnel, but I know,

There will be struggles.

I want to win although,

It is easier to retreat than to keep fighting.

Like a soldier in a losing battle,

I want to end it all,

I want to give up,

It's hard because,

I am fighting in a war between the light and dark,

And I will win the battle against the darkness.

I'll try to find the light,

I'll try to hide my fear,

Except, I am so good at being scared.

So I will be,

Unless I can be brave,

I am failing,

The light will never return, and

The night will be eternal.
