Long Black On Ice
By thedr7q
I didn’t even ask your name, so you asked mine. I had a million thoughts running through my mind, most of them about your eyes. I just knew how you liked your coffee, Long Black on Ice.
Everyone says I should ask your number, and everybody’s right. When they catch me staring they’ll be laughing, they always make the time. My friends knew I liked you before I even knew.
You assume I’ll always bring your coffee, you’re disappointed when you’re wrong. I’m sorry, to make it up to you I can write you silly songs. And if you ever hear them I hope you sing along.
I want to take you home, shelter you from the cold when it’s raining. I just want to hold you close, you don’t have to be naked. Not everything’s about sex, drugs, rock n roll; I’m happy with just coffee we can take it slow. I think you're beautiful.
Author Notes: Actually the lyrics from a song I wrote
