It tears me up
To know that you are really gone
That I will have to continue every day without you
Seeing your pictures on the wall
And the small reminders of you
Bring all the memories flooding in
It makes me want to break down
and turn back time
But I know that I have to be strong
and hold onto the memories
The memories that I wouldn't trade for anything
I will always hold on to the knowledge
that you are no longer in pain
And that I will see you again
It may not take away
the hole in my heart
but it will help me live with it
I will always have days that are harder than others,
The days that I just want to cry
And the ones that I learn to keep going
They will always be a part of me
but so will the memories.
And for that, I will forever be grateful!
I love you and can't wait to see you again
So until then, I will keep going
and help others through their own pain
Because I know that it is what you would want me to do!
